Hi-vis clothing with your logo: what to bear in mind
Updated 1 October 2026

In short
Hi-vis clothing to EN ISO 20471 may carry a logo as long as it does not cover the reflective strips and enough fluorescent area remains free. A small chest logo and a design on the back, between or above the strips, work well.
The three classes in brief
- Class 1: smallest visible area – e.g. trousers or T-shirts for areas with little traffic.
- Class 2: hi-vis vests and jackets for most building sites and roadworks.
- Class 3: highest visibility, e.g. jacket and trousers combined, for work on roads with fast traffic.
How we place your logo
- Never on the reflective strips.
- Keep the chest logo small (around 8 cm), the design on the back only in the free area.
- For vests and thin fabrics, DTF print is usually the better choice; for jackets, embroidery is possible too.
Important to know
The protection class depends on the visible fluorescent and reflective area. A large logo can reduce this area – if in doubt, we are happy to advise you before you order.
